How to use Leather Honey's recoloring balm
Our recoloring balm restores all black leather, bringing back the original color and covering scuffs, scratches and other imperfections. To use:
- Remove the protective seal. The innovative squeeze bottle has two connected caps and a built-in applicator. To begin using the balm, twist off both caps together to remove the foil seal, then replace both caps. To apply with the built-in sponge, pop off the upper ribbed cap only.
- Clean the surface dirt from your item with a soft brush, then clean the leather completely with Leather Honey Leather Cleaner.
- Use the tube's built-in applicator to spread a thin, even layer of balm, using light, circular motions to ensure full, even coverage. For best results, we recommend covering the entire area.
- Allow the balm to dry and penetrate the surface for at least two hours (preferably overnight), then gently buff with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess and achieve a smooth, even finish. Reapply the balm if necessary to achieve a deeper color.
- To further lock in color and protect the leather, follow with Leather Honey Leather Conditioner.
