Your leather boots or leather shoes are probably the dirtiest pieces of leather you have in your home. Because these items are in contact with the ground, where dirt lives, they need to be cleaned regularly. Leather Honey is pleased to announce the addition of a gentle, effective leather cleaner to our product lineup that will do this job well: Leather Honey Leather Cleaner.
With Leather Honey Leather Cleaner, you can give your boots that deep-down clean that they desperately need, all without fear of damaging the leather or introducing toxins to your home. Like our Leather Honey Leather Conditioner, we’ve carefully formulated this product so that it works with your leather, giving you a deep down clean without risk.
Before you begin, create the cleaning solution by mixing one ounce (two tablespoons) of our concentrated product with eight ounces (one cup) of water. This will be plenty of cleaning solution for your boots – you’ll have some left over for future applications. Mix it in a spray bottle for easy application.
Begin by testing a small part of the boot with the leather cleaner. Our non-toxic cleaner is safe to use on all leather (except suede), but testing first is always a good idea.
To clean the leather, spray a small amount of the diluted cleaner directly on the leather. Then, use our lint-free cleaning cloth to wipe it off. You can also spray the cloth directly, then wipe the boots off with it. Remember that you don’t want to saturate the leather, just give it a gentle cleaning.
Allow the boots to dry completely, then follow up the cleaning by conditioning with Leather Honey Leather Conditioner. Once that dries, you will be amazed at the transformation your boots have undergone. Not only will the dirt and grime be gone, but you’ll also notice an improvement in cracks, lines and scuffs that were caused by dryness.
Because the leather that makes up your leather boots came from a living, breathing animal, it’s important not to use conventional cleaners, which are full of toxins and other damaging chemicals, on it. Instead, use Leather Honey Leather Cleaner to clean it safely, and soon your boots will shine like they did the day you brought them home from the store.
