Leather Conditioner: Leather Honey since 1968 "Makes Leather Last Longer"

Leather Conditioner For Equestrian

saddle leather conditionerIt wasn’t always called “Leather Honey.”  In fact, for decades, our product was named (and commonly known among the equestrian community) as “Harness Honey.”

Like most successful, family-owned, small businesses, we sought to improve something that was near and dear to our hearts.  In 1972, we began applying the product to the harnesses, saddles and other equipment that we used for our farm-bred Percheron draft horses.

We were shocked at how well the product soaked into the leather and turned the aged and heavily-used equestrian equipment back into its original condition.

The good word of our Harness Honey spread fast and before we knew it, riders and farmers from all over the country were jumping at the chance to use it.  People were amazed as they watched their riding gear drastically improve right before their very eyes.  Tack shops everywhere began distributing it as the perfect leather conditioning solution for:

  • Reins
  • Saddles
  • Riding Boots
  • Whips
  • Bridles
  • Halters
  • Chaps
  • Gloves

No other leather conditioner could compare to Harness Honey’s ability to repel water, resist mildew, and provide such a soft texture and rejuvenated look – without rotting stitching.

equestrian leather conditionerOur equestrian customers were smart, though.  They began using Harness Honey for other uses outside of their riding equipment.  Harness Honey soon became the go-to application for leather car seats, sporting gear, footwear, motorcycle equipment and for fashion apparel, including purses and belts.

Even though we changed the name from Harness Honey to Leather Honey, we are still the number one solution for equestrians.  We share the joy of riding horses – every bottle of Leather Honey is hand-filled on our family farm, where we still raise horses today — and understand that proper maintenance of horse riding equipment is essential for the health and safety of horses.

We also understand that riding equipment can get expensive!  Leather Honey can help keep that cost down in two ways. Equestrians who find great deals on used tack can simply apply Leather Honey to the previously-owned leather and have it look like it was purchased right off of the shelf! Those who purchase brand new tack can ensure its lasting durability by regularly applying Leather Honey.  We even recommend applying it before it begins to wear and tear, to keep it looking and feeling like new.

And let’s face it.  Softer leather saddles are more comfortable for the rider – and the horse!

Try it for yourself.  If you do not share our equestrian customers’ great experience, we will promptly send you a refund!
